Series for ostrich

Each female lays 50 to 100 eggs per year; normal values range between 60 and 70. Each egg weights approx. 1.5 kilograms. The hatching percentage highly varies and strictly depends on the type of hatchery used and proper setup of all breeding phases.

Incubation is always artificial and performed in a close premise.

Fiem and Victoria can provide for very complex appliances able to meet a full range of special requirements necessary for ostrich incubation.

Incubation phase lasts for about 40-42 days, period when the automated control of temperature and humidity is necessary (36.1 to 36.4 degrees, with humidity lower than 20%). A slow and constant automated movement helps a direct embryo development by inhibiting dangerous adhesions to egg shells possibly affecting the final hatching results.
